The Long Night of Research takes place every two years across Austria. In all nine federal provinces, you can experience science and research up close with free admission, exchange ideas with researchers and discover what otherwise often remains hidden: exciting, surprising, amazing!
Presentation of Teslacoil
The power electronics research station aims to show how important this discipline is for the modern technology revolution. We want to motivate young people to think about power electronics. Our experiment combines the Tesla coil, which was the first power converter developed in the 1880s, with state-of-the-art power electronics.
