09-01 Creating and managing collectives
What you need to know
Collectives is a place where you can organize yourselves into groups or projects and build knowledge together.
The structure of Collectives is based on a non-hierarchical workflow: each collective is linked to a UNIverse team and belongs to the respective community.
Here you can work together on texts – whether it's a knowledge base for the community or a manual for your organization.
A more detailed description of collectives can also be found here: https://nextcloud.github.io/collectives/usage/.
What you need to do
Create a collective
- Click on Collectives in the menu bar.
- On the left side of the screen, you will find a list of all your collectives. This will probably be empty if you have not yet been added to a collective.
- Click on New Collective and enter a name for your collective. You can also select an emoji to make it easier to find your collective later.
- Click on Add members to select the people or groups you want to add.
- Click on Create to create the collective.
Manage group
- Click on the three-dots menu. You have the following options there:
- Manage members: Here you can add or remove members.
- Manage templates: Here you can create templates that can then be used as desired.
- Share link: Create links to your collective
- Export or print
- Settings: Here you can create rights to edit or share content and delete the collective. Leave collective Add to favorites.
- Manage tags: Set keywords for the entire collective here.
