Short CV

Patrick Raschner studied law at the University of Innsbruck and at the Erasmus University Rotterdam (Mag.iur., 2018). After gaining an insight into legal practice at the Austrian Financial Market Authority, he completed his doctoral studies at the University of Innsbruck from 2018-2022 under the supervision of Univ.-Prof. Dr. Alexander Schopper, where he also worked as a university assistant prae doc at the Institute for Business and Tax Law (Department for Business Law) with a focus on "Digitalisation in Business Law". Patrick Raschner wrote his doctoral thesis on the topic of "Algorithm Governance on the Capital Market". He was awarded one of the Austrian Banking Association Prizes 2023 for his dissertation. He then worked as a post-doctoral researcher at the Liechtenstein Business Law School (Chair of Banking and Financial Market Law) at the University of Liechtenstein from September 2022 to September 2023. Since October 2023, he is assistant professor (Habilitand) at the aforementioned Institute for Business and Tax Law. Since November 2023, he is a member of the Associated Researchers Group (ARG) of the European Banking Institute (EBI). From 2021 to 2022, he was already a member of the EBI‘s Young Researchers Group (YRG).
