Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meeting 2021 - ASHPC21
The first Austrian-Slovenian HPC Meeting 2021 - ASHPC21 will be held May 31 - June 2 at the Institute of Information Science (IZUM) in Maribor, Slovenia. It continues the tradition of the Austrian HPC Meetings. ASHPC21 is organized by the Slovenian consortium for high performance computing (SLING) and the Institute of Information Science in Maribor (IZUM), Slovenia in cooperation with the Research Area Scientific Computing in Innsbruck, Austria and the Vienna Scientific Cluster (VSC), Austria.
Austrian HPC Meeting 2020 - AHPC20
The Austrian HPC Meeting 2019 - AHPC20 was held February 19-22, 2020 in Klosterneuburg. It was organized by the Institute of Science and Technology Austria in cooperation with the Vienna Scientific Cluster (VSC).
The Austrian HPC Meeting 2019 was held February 25-27, 2019, at the Seeblickhotel-Grundlsee, Austria. It was organized by the University of Graz.
The AHPC18 Meeting was held February 19-21, 2018 at Courtyard Merriott in Linz, Austria. It was organized by groups from JKU, Linz and RISC Software GmbH, Hagenberg in close cooperation with the Vienna Scientific Cluster (VSC), which also sponsored the event.
The AHPC17 Meeting was held March 1-3, 2017 at Seeblickhotel-Grundlsee, Austria. It was organized by the Research Area Scientific Computing of the University of Innsbruck in close cooperation with the VSC (Vienna Scientific Cluster).
The AHPC16 Meeting 2016 was held February 22–24, 2016 at the Seeblickhotel-Grundlsee, Austria. It was organized by the VSC (Vienna Scientific Cluster) and ACSC (Austrian Center for Scientific Computing).
The AHPC15 aimed at bringing together scientists and technicians with a background of and interest in scientific computing. It took place 15-20 March, 2015 in the Alpine research center of Obergurgl.
Miscellaneous
eScience 2021. From September 21-23, 2021 the eScience 2021 conference will take place in Innsbruck. The conference brings together leading interdisciplinary research communities, developers and users of eScience applications and enabling IT technologies.
A part of this training course took place March 9, 2020 at the Campus Technik of the Unversity of Innsbruck. The course was organized by the Research Area Scientific Computing, University of Innsbruck and the VSC Research Center, TU Wien.
The talk was held on Monday, September 23, 2019 at 7 p.m. at the University of Innsbruck in the Kaiser-Leopold-Saal (Karl-Rahner-Platz 3). Martin Hairer is professor of mathematics at Imperial College London. In 2014 he was awarded the Fields Medal, one of the highest honors a mathematician can receive. The International Conference on Scientific Computation and Differential Equations was hosted by the University of Innsbruck, Austria, July 22 - 26, 2019.
The Science Festival tool place June 14 -16, 2019 in the city center of Innsbruck.
The Campus Technik was open to the public April 26-27, 2019 with the opportunity to visit laboratories and to gain insight into the work of scientists.
The lab uses the latest technology to make effective visualization possible. The opening took place November 28, 2018 at 5p.m. at the Campus Technik of the University of Innsbruck.
The opening of the supercomputer LEO 4 took place January 24, 2019 at the Campus Technik of the University of Innsbruck.
