Operator Splitting with Discretisations

Dear Participants,

we hope you all had a good holiday. After the long break we are back again to continue the study of operator splitting procedures. This week we combine operator splitting with space and time discretisation, and investigate the convergence of the obtained composite methods.

First, we consider resolvent splittings which contain explicit and implicit Euler terms by definition. Then we turn our attention to exponential splitting again, and prove their convergence in the case when they are applied together with certain space discretisation methods.
