Research Interests

B cells are the cornerstone of humoral immunity due to the ability of these cells to differentiate into antibody secreting cells. However, the effectiveness of the humoral response declines with age notably due to alterations in B cell development and function. In addition, aberrant survival, activation and development of these cells underlie various types of autoimmunity, immunodeficiency or cancers. Using conditional gene targeting in mice, we study the regulation of B cell development and function, including the changes affecting these regulatory mechanisms during aging.

In these contexts, the group aims at understanding the roles of:

  • The NF-kB signaling pathways.
  • MiRNA-mediated post-transcriptional gene silencing.
