KR9 Postponed to 2021

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Following on from our email two weeks ago, we unfortunately have to announce that Climate
Change, The Karst Record IX (KR9) to be held in Innsbruck, Austria, in July 2020 will be postponed to 2021.

Presently in Austria we are under lock-down and specifically in Tirol we cannot travel to the next village. We understand that the situation is similar in many other parts of the world making it difficult to make plans for visa applications and travel. Given that we do not have any perspective on when these bans will be lifted, we have made the difficult decision to postpone.

We will work to refund all registration fees as soon as possible, but please note that our administration is currently working at minimum capacity and so this may take some time. All abstracts will be withdrawn to allow for new or updated submissions next year. Additionally, new applications for travel funding will be required next year.

We have provisionally identified the new dates for the main conference as 11th - 14th July, 2021, with peripheral activities before and after this. These provisional dates for KR9 run directly following Goldschmidt in Lyon (4th - 9th July, 2021). These dates will be confirmed in due course.

To stay informed on developments, please sign up to the KR9 conference mailing list here or follow the news on the website.

Thank you for your patience at this difficult time, we hope to see you next year in Innsbruck.

Kind regards
Gina Moseley
On behalf of the KR9 Organising Committee
