Fulbright Scholarship Opportunity

The Department of American Studies at the University of Innsbruck is pleased to offer a four-month Fulbright Scholarship starting either October 1, 2020 or March 1, 2021. This grant will entail teaching two courses for advanced undergraduate or graduate students in the field of American Studies. It is open to faculty of all academic ranks with a Ph.D., including early career researchers, with appropriate teaching experience and relevant expertise. We especially encourage scholars with a research interest in film and media studies to apply.

The award entails a monthly grant of € 4.000 and a lump sum of € 1.000 for travel costs. In addition to being a prestigious academic exchange program, the Fulbright Program aims to expand and strengthen relationships between the people of the United States and citizens of other nations and to promote international understanding and cooperation. To support this mission, Fulbright Scholars will be asked to give public talks, mentor students, and otherwise engage with the host community, in addition to their primary activities‎.
