Venue

IBBI 2022 will take place at the University Center Obergurgl located in the Tyrolean Alps on the border to Italy. The University Center Obergurgl is operated as a hotel with daily room service and amenities including a restaurant, a bar area with an open fireplace, wellness facilities, and free WiFi.

Travel

Innsbruck airport serves connections to Vienna and Frankfurt; shuttle transfer and train services between Innsbruck and Munich airport and train services to Zürich airport are also convenient. Schedules for train and bus services between Innsbruck and Obergurgl can be found here.

 

COVID-19 INFORMATION & SAFETY MEASURES

NEW: as of 20 December 2021, in addition to proof of vaccination or recovery, a negative PCR test is required to enter Austria (2G+). More details (e.g., in which cases a "booster" vaccination eliminates the necessity for a negative PCR test) can be found here; for travel from the US here.

NEW: as of 15 November 2021, conferences organized by the University of Innsbruck (including IBBI 2022) can only be attended with a valid 2G certificate. 2G means "vaccinated or recovered". If you plan to attend IBBI 2022, please make sure that you have a certificate that is valid at the time of the conference (27.02.2022 - 04.03.2022).
