"Why are fractions so hard to understand? An overview of the developement of learnes' fraction understanding and the accompanying challenges"

"Rideo ergo sum (I laugh, therefore I am)"

The motto I live by ...

... rideo ergo sum (I laugh, therefore I am). I am known for smiling a lot and I find humor an important aspect in life.

At the University of Innsbruck I will ...

... teach two courses (methodology course and a course on learners’ fraction understanding) and I will be doing research on strategy use in fraction tasks with professor Florian Stampfer.

What surprised me about Innsbruck was ...

... how close the mountains are! I am here now for the third week and I am still amazed by the closeness of the mountains and the beautiful views.

Innsbruck for me is ...

... the perfect combination between beautiful nature and amazing culture.
