Sedimentation was simulated by adding elements to the body. First the rising edge of the valley was heaped up, then the valley was sedimented from the bottom to the top.

The simulation starts with a rectangular mesh. The process of erosion is realized in two steps: first all nodes are fixed, and the elements of the eroded layer are removed. In the second step the the nodes are released again and the mesh returns to its balance by deformations.
