Labels as quality indicators
In the academic year of 2013 the European Commission opened up the possibility for European higher education institutions to receive an ECTS- and/or Diploma Supplement-Label as an award for excellence in the implementation of recognition of learning outcomes as well as transparency. The University of Innsbruck is the only Austrian university that received the ECTS- as well as the Diploma Supplement Label.
The receipt of the ECTS- or DS-Label signifies the correct implementation of ECTS or Diploma Supplement principles, the fair recognition of learning outcomes as well as the improvement of transparency in the international environment.
