A himalayan yak herder spinning yak wool using a drop spindle. The unspun fibers (roving) are wound around his left wrist that serves as distaff. Filmed during the 2010 Everest trek while exploring the Kangshung Face area of Mt. Everest. The Kangshung Face is the East Face of Mount Everest, one of the Tibetan sides of the mountain.
