The Program

Qualification profile

The Entrepreneurship supplementary program at the University of Innsbruck targets students and graduates who wish to broaden their qualification profile through a practice-oriented and scientifically sound additional education in entrepreneurship.

Graduates of the supplementary program Entrepreneurship have an understanding of the central concepts of entrepreneurship and master methods for the systematic implementation of a business idea. The supplementary qualification provides students with the relevant knowledge and support to found their own startup or to successfully manage innovation projects and digital transformations in established companies.

Recommended course of study

The exemplary course of studies listed below is a recommendation for full-time students who start their studies in the winter semester. The list serves to illustrate a possible course of study and is not obligatory. Any repeated examinations or their effect on the length of study are not taken into account.

The standard period of study is 2 semesters or 45 ECTS credits.

Winter Semester:

• Compulsory Module: Entrepreneurial Competencies (5 ECTS)
• Compulsory Module: Entrepreneurship 1 (5 ECTS)
• Compulsory Module: Fundamentals of Management: Strategy and Marketing (5 ECTS)

Summer Semester:

• Compulsory Module: Product and Service Development (5 ECTS)
• Compulsory Module: Entrepreneurship 2 (7,5 ECTS)
• Compulsory Module: Company and Innovation Project (10 ECTS)
