The project Iron Age Mediterranean Interaction. A Production Perspective from Monte Iato aims to explore the ways in which the community living in the settlement of Monte Iato in western Sicily renegotiated their communal identities and traditional productive activities in the context of an increased Mediterranean connectivity that during the Iron Age brought this indigenous site into contact with wider trade, cultural and productive networks of a trans- and pan-Mediterranean nature, particularly between the 7th and 5th centuries BC.
