NanoLab
Head: Univ-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.techn. Roman Lackner
The NanoLab of the University Innsbruck (NanoLab Innsbruck) was installed in 2008. In addition to microscopy, analysis and mechanical material testing it includes also special areas such as thin-film technology and fire protection. It is part of the Research initiative "Advanced Materials" of the University Innsbruck and is located at the "Campus Technik", Innsbruck.
Equipment of the Core Facility "NanoLab" of the University Innsbruck
Fire Protection Center Innsbruck
Head: Univ-Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Dr.techn. Roman Lackner
Equipment:
- Mass Loss Cone Calorimeter
Controlled irradiation of 10 cm x 10 cm samples for investigation of the inflammation behavior and the burning of combustible materials
- Measurement of weight-loss history of the sample
- Gas Analysis
- Measurement of the temperature rise at different positions of the sample
- Fire oven
Controlled temperature exposure of specimens subjected to fire loading on one side (maximum 50 cm x 100 cm):
- Video-Audio recording possible, temperature measurement at up to 28 measuring points
- Consideration of various (Standard) fire curves and heating rates (e.g. ETK/EBA-RABT/HC)
- Improved temperature control thanks to a new two-chamber system
- Possibility of fireloading of specimens on five sides
