LAs BEST: Formal Reading of Los Angeles through Flat Ontology
Considering Los Angeles as an open-ended arrangement, LAs Best aims to introduce the idea of flattening the hierarchy of all urban entities in order to achieve an objective analysis of the city and liberate the constructs and limitations of urban analyses in general. This allows to frame its past and current state of ever-shifting urban conditions. In order to emphasize the hidden aspects, looking through the lense of Flat Ontology will help to identify objects with the same degree of importance. The urban entities and their relations within will be cataloged in order to prove its self-reflecting identity. Los Angeles as a collector of objects that seem to have no common ground, rather than the city itself.
