Research Collaboration with the University of Innsbruck & Landspitali, University Hospital, Reykjavik, Iceland | May 19 2023
On May 19th, 2023 we celebrated the successful completion of two successful Masters project defenses by Guðný Björk Proppé & Rut Matthíasdóttir at the University of Iceland.
Both Master of Pharmacy students spent 6 months conducting their research project on “Medication at risk of inducing a delirium” at the Clinical Pharmacy department of the University of Innsbruck. This research is part of a long-standing and successful research collaboration between Univ.-Prof. Dr. Anita Weidmann and Ass. Prof. Freyja Jónsdóttir / Ass. Prof. Pétur Sigurður Gunnarsson.
Prof. Dr. Anita Weidmann presented the results of the Phase 1 of this multi-phase research study on the development of a practice guideline for medication that carry a risk of inducing a delirium, to clinic staff and experts at the Landspitali hospital, Reykjavik Iceland. This research project is conducted in collaboration with the University hospital, Innsbruck.
We look forward to welcoming two more research students from the University of Iceland in autumn 2023.
