Introducing: Luisa Lorè | PhD student in the Project Part “Field Experiments in Credence Goods Markets”

loreLuisa Lorè was born and raised close to Rome, Italy and also spent her time studying Global Governance (Bachelor) and Economics (Master) at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. She first got interested in experimental economics when she listened to a keynote from Dan Ariely at a conference she attended during her Bachelor studies. With her strong interest for experimental research and environmental economics she ran across Timo Göschl who served as visiting professor in Rome. In the following, Luisa spent some time at the Heidelberg University to work on her master thesis and some "Eggsperiments" (see working paper here).

After graduating, she kept working at the Centre for Economic and International Studies at the University of Rome Tor Vergata and started to cooperate with the Experimental Economics Lab in Rome, CESARE, at LUISS Guido Carli. Luisa already joined the project part "Field Experiments in Credence Goods Markets" in May and is looking forward to move to Innsbruck in summer.

Leaving professional life aside, Luisa's biggest passion is to work as a volunteer for the Special Olympics. For more than 10 years she has supported people with disabilities to train for and take part in competitions and events on a local, national, and international level. Apart from that, she likes going to the theatre, travelling, and hiking.

Word rap

Innsbruck - Alps

Experiments - Answers

Economics - Questions

Biggest societal problem? - The lack of a common starting point for world population. On earth there are millions of people that are completely enabled to become what they would like, or simply to be happy, just because they’ve been born in the right country, city, street, or even family. Those who have the privilege of being safe, free and educated should do anything in their capacity to create more opportunities for those who haven’t been so lucky.

Wiener Schnitzel or Couscous? - Grew up with (Milan) Schnitzel but I’m moving to plant-based meals so now Vegan Couscous.

Snowy mountains or sandy beaches? - Sunny mountains.

Skiing, cycling, shopping or couch surfing? - In order: couch surfing, cycling, and skiing (when I’ll have learnt how to do it properly, but for this I count on living in Innsbruck for four years).
