Université de Montréal

The Université de Montréal is the largest francophone university in North America as well as the largest research university in the province of Québec. It regularly occupies top positions in national and international rankings.

In June 2013, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the University of Innsbruck and the Faculté des arts et des sciences at the Université de Montréal in order to facilitate student exchange (among other purposes).

Study programs

The Faculté des arts et des sciences at the UdeM provides study programs in the following fields of study:

  • Literature and Languages (including Romance Studies, English Studies, German Studies, Latin American Studies, Russian Studies, Arabic Studies, Modern Greek Studies), Francophone Literatures, Comparative Literature, Linguistics, Translation Studies, Philosophy, History, Anthropology, Archaeology, Art History, Film Studies,
  • Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics and Statistics, Computer Science, Communication Sciences, Psychology, Geography, Demography, Political Science, Sociology, Economic Sciences.

Duration

Session d’automne: beginning of September to end of December

Session d’hiver: beginning of January to end of April

Students can apply for one term or a full academic year.
