Offers for first-time students
The University and Federal Library of the Tyrol presents itself as a competent point of contact for literature research to students of all subjects and the team are also willing to assist you in person – with the individual information service at the desks, or per e-mail or by phone.
Services range from simple research in the “PRIMO” portal to special enquiries in all media areas and catalogues – from printed to electronic sources. Moreover, the ULB Tyrol offers help for all questions relating to ordering, borrowing, prolonging, administration of user accounts and the shuttle service between the individual libraries.
Special trainings and guided tours (e.g. within the scope of “Well-informed into your study programme”) in the main library on the Innrain, as well as at other locations, focus on informing students.
Assistance in your everyday life as a student
The central focus of the day-to-day assistance is on extensive and individual advising for students of all study programmes from their first semester to their final thesis. Assistance covers all library-related concerns from literature search and ordering, usage of printed and electronic data carriers (e-journals, e-books…) to information about other libraries in the ULB Tirol, opportunities to copy media, assistance for using possible open access areas and use of course reserves etc.
Offers for students writing Master’s Theses, Diploma Theses and Dissertations
The field of complex literature research for completing final theses also focuses on personal assistance. Assistance includes a bibliographical service for literature research and obtaining literature on a national and international level – on site or within the scope of the international interlibrary system.

References to specific expert magazines, newspapers (printed and electronic) and databases complete the programme for the resp. target groups.
