Obergurgl
is an alpine village near the Italian border, about 1.5 hours from
Innsbruck. At 1900 m above sea level, it is an excellent spot for hiking or simply enjoying the mountain scenery. Because of the elevation, please remember to
bring warm clothes for the evenings. Snow is not unheard of in
September! If you'd like to explore the surrounding mountains, don't forget hiking boots.
The Obergurgl University Center is a small conference center above the village. It is associated with the University of Innsbruck.
