Mag. Dr. Monika Mayrhofer
Monika Mayrhofer hat an den Universitäten Wien und Kopenhagen Politikwissenschaft studiert und 2008 promoviert. Ihre Forschungsschwerpunkte umfassen Klimawandel und Menschenrechte mit einem besonderen Fokus auf unterschiedliche Formen von im Kontext des Klimawandels, intersektionale Ungleichheiten und Diskriminierungen sowie internationale und europäische Menschenrechtsdiskurse, -politiken und -systeme.
Seit Juli 2023 arbeitet sie als Senior Scientist am Institut für angewandte Rechts- und Kriminalsoziologie. Zuvor, war sie u.a. als Pre-Doc Researcher an der Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (2006-2008) und ab 2011 als Senior Researcher am Ludwig Boltzmann Institut für Grund- und Menschenrechte in Wien tätig. Seit 2004 unterrichtet sie regelmäßig an der Universität Wien und an der Universität Krems. Von 2010-2015 war sie mehrmals Gastprofessorin am Institute of International Studies in Bangkok/Thailand.
