September 2020:

From September 1 to 4, 2020 the seminar of the doctoral college took place in the South Tyrolean mountains. Due to the lockdown, the seminar of the winter semester planned for the late winter of 2020 was cancelled. Instead a block event of 4 days was held at the Berghotel Kasern in the Ahrntal. In addition to an extensive lecture program, there were also joint leisure activities such as hiking in the mountains and rafting.
September 2019:

As in 2018, the members of the doctoral college gathered in the course of a summer school in the mountains. This time, the Heidelberger Hütte in the Fimba Valley offered accommodation and the opportunity for scientific exchange. In addition to an individually prepared lecture programme and numerous professional discussions, the aspect of team building was not to be neglected here either. The slopes of the Fluchthorn and the Piz Tasna invited the participants to hike together in the Swiss and Austrian Alps.
February 2019:
- From February 6 to 8, the members of the doctoral programme gathered in the Tux Alps. This year's Winter School was characterised by an interesting lecture programme and comprehensive team-building activities. The Meißner Haus on the Patscherkogel and the Viggartal provided the perfect scenery for this purpose.

September 2018:
- From september 25 to 27, the Summer School 2018 took place at the University Center Obergurgel of the University of Innsbruck. At the backtrop of the beautiful Tyrolean mountains, a platform for scientific exchange and joint activities was offered to the members of the Doctoral Programme "Reactivity and Catalysis". A big word of thanks goes to our external speakers Prof. Heinrich Lang of the Institute of Chemistry of the TU Chemnitz, Dr. Wolfgang Welzmann of Novartis, Dr. Sandra Lang of the Institute of Surface Chemistry and Catalysis of the Ulm University and Dr. Lucas Mayr of BASF who granted insights in their research topics and their everyday work life.
