The native method of spinning cotton. Text on the backside: "A domestic scene in the village of the interior. Most of the yarn employed by the natives in the manufacture of their native cloth is spun in this way by the women."

Postcard printed on occasion of the British Empire Exhibition 1924. At the back it reads: “A family engaged in spinning cotton – the most important native industry in Sierra Leone“.
