The previously separately-led libraries at the University of Innsbruck (Institute of Music Studies), the Mozarteum University Salzburg (Department of Music Education – location Innsbruck) as well as the Tyrolean Landeskonservatorium now merge into a powerful joint institution.
Approx. 120,000 books and sheet music, more than 10,000 CDs and approx. 15,000 other sound storage media are available to lecturers and students of the institutes, but also to the interested public. The library is operated by the Tyrolean University and Provincial Library.
In addition to about 600m of shelves in the reading room, the library also has a magazine area in the basement. Almost all of the library’s media can be borrowed free of charge – the search is carried out via the search portal BibSearch of the Tyrolean University and Provincial Library.
