Historical documents: The ORF archive at the ULB Tirol

The legendary interviews with Bruno Kreisky, films directed by Axel Corti, contributions from the individual provincial studios, magazines and documentaries – the ORF archive offers a collection of sources that spans the spectrum from contemporary Austrian history to world events. The programme hours, initially more than 550,000 hours, are constantly being expanded.

The archive can be used by students, lecturers and researchers at the University of Innsbruck via the ORF archive branch in the main library at the Innrain. Displayed hits include videos (newer productions) or still images (older productions) as well as radio reports.
Please note that some of the videos are only available as previews and cannot be downloaded. The “KOKO” audio archive is also available.

Research is possible by prior arrangement at the main library from Mon – Fri from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. during the lecture hours.

Please bring your filled-in and signed Terms of Use. Forms are also available at the research station.
