Finished after all! Ongoing graduation group

Group supporting the writing of final theses

The writing of a thesis can be overwhelmingly challenging for students. They often find the experience of being on their own with little support, very challenging.  Moreover, the graduation phase is a threshold situation that may be associated with worries about the post-university future. Disorientation, overly high expectation of oneself, and fear of failure, can be the result and lead to writer’s block and postponing of writing tasks.

In this group students can share their experiences associated with the writing process. Together they try to understand individual strains and develop ideas for solutions. Mutual motivation aims at reducing the resistance towards writing and to find a productive working attitude.

Target group: Students writing their Bachelor’s Thesis, Master’s Thesis or Dissertation, who have already selected a topic and supervisor. Providing the availability of places, it is possible to join the course any time.

When? The group meets every second Tuesday from 2:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m.

Where? Psychological Counselling Servivce, Schöpfstr. 3, 6020 Innsbruck
