By air

Innsbruck runs an International Airport with several destinations around Europe. Taking the bus (number “F”) from the airport is quite cheap (€2) and takes not more than 10 minutes. A taxi costs approximately €12 to €15.

The International Airports of Zurich, Salzburg and Munich are within a two hour distance. A special Tyrolean Shuttle Bus Service is available for reasonable prices (roundtrip Munich Airport - Innsbruck is about € 85).

A very cheap option is a bus-shuttle by "MeinFernbus" from Munich Airport to Innsbruck. Prices starting from € 11 for one way. The travel time with this bus-transfer is about three hours.

By road

Innsbruck is a motorway junction in the heart of Europe. It can be reached via A12 from west (Switzerland, Germany), east (Munich, Salzburg) and the A 13 from south (Verona). Motorway-exits “Innsbruck Ost”, “Innsbruck Mitte” or “Innsbruck West” all lead directly to the city center. On Austrians motorways a mandatory toll sticker is required and additional special tolls on motorways A12 and A13 are collected. Make sure to buy a toll sticker at the border lines!
