In cooperation with the British Council Austria the IELTS exam can be taken for the first time at the International Language Centre of the University of Innsbruck (isi). IELTS stands for the International English Language Testing System and is an internationally recognised language certificate.

IELTS is accepted as proof of a student’s level of English by more than 9,000 institutions worldwide, including universities, colleges, other educational establishments and agencies. Institutions that accept  IELTS can be found at: http://bandscore.ielts.org/

Each year more than 2 million candidates decide to take the IELTS test as a spring board for their studies, their professional career and their life abroad.

Three highly reputable educational institutions work together in the development and implementation of the test: the British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia as well as the University of Cambridge ESOL.

Please note: Exam dates are scheduled annualy when possible in May and November.

Written exam:
Sat 11.11.2017, 09.00 am - (approx.) 12.30 pm (Listening, reading and writing)
Oral exam: Fri 10.11.2017, from 08.00 am

In case of high demand, an oral examination will also be held on Thursday 09.11.2017 (from 01.00 pm). All participants will be given the oral examination dates 2 weeks before the examination.

Please note: After the registration deadline has passed (2 weeks before each examination date) no more registrations can be accepted. You will be given your result thirteen days after the examination. The evaluation is provided as a score from 0 (did not attempt the test) to 9 (expert user).
