Integrating Science and Conservation of wetland fishes

This conference aims to bridge the gap between science, research and conservation of endangered native wetland fishes, specifically of European mudminnow (Umbra krameri), European weatherfish (Misgurnus fossilis) and other species typically found along with them in the same or similar habitats, such as crucian carp (Carassius carassius) and sunbleak (Leucaspius delineatus), among others. We emphasize that the conference is not solely focused on scientific research and warmly welcome practitioners involved in wetland fish conservation to share their experiences. Ideally, presentations will combine scientific findings with practical conservation efforts that span entire European countries or significant regions within them. Given the limited time slots available, if several submissions of talks are offered for a single region or country, we will encourage participants to collaborate on a single presentation, highlighting their key findings and experiences.
