Aims
The doctoral college (DC) of Austrian Studies (with a view to creating an Austrian Studies Centre in the medium term) is to provide an interdisciplinary cooperation platform within the university, as the basis for joint teaching and research. Central criteria for such cooperation are initially the relevant area, its history and cultural phenomena. Here “Austrian” is understood as a cultural space created by various societies along a timeline from the Holy Roman Empire to the Habsburg Monarchy up to the immediate present of the Second Republic.
