Expect the Unexpected

Major support for the University of Innsbruck’s research and teaching mission comes from innsbruck university press (iup), the University’s publishing house founded in 2005 by then Vice-Rector Märk. The scientific but also cultural works published here reflect iup’s ambitious comprehensive program that ensures the interdisciplinary presentation of current topics as well as the authenticity and long-term availability of research results. The approximately 620 titles on stock in 2020 are joined each year
by approximately 50 new publications. iup’s Edition Laurin has been successful in positioning itself for works of fiction. innsbruck university press also promotes open access and by providing publications that are free of charge and license-free assists researchers develop their international presence and promote knowledge transfer.
