21st Meeting of Austrian Botanists
26th to 29th September 2024, Innsbruck
The 21st meeting of Austrian botanists will take place in Innsbruck from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29, 2024.
It is the tradition of the Austrian botanical community to span a thematic arc from botanical research to applied botanical topics and findings in nature conservation research and also to invite the large citizen science community - i.e. all those who enjoy the plant diversity of Austria and Central Europe - to the meetings. The meeting takes place every two years.
Please register in advance for the "Newsletter of the Austrian Botanists' Meetings" so that you can receive all information, including for subsequent events, directly and stay up to date.

Information on the lectures and poster presentations:
- Conference language: German and English
- Lecture: 15 minutes, 5 minutes discussion
- Poster: portrait format, maximum A0
- Deadline for Registration and abstract: August 15, 2024

The conference will take place at the Institute of Botany of the University of Innsbruck, Sternwartestr.15, 6020 Innsbruck.
We ask for an environmentally friendly journey! If possible, use public transport to get to Innsbruck. If you cannot do without a car, carpooling is a good option.
- By public transport:
- Train: Innsbruck main station
- continue with the line "Stadtbus K" (direction Kranebitten Bahnhof), stop Botanikerstraße
- alternatively continue with streetcar 5 (direction Technik), exit Fürstenweg; from there walk to Sternwartestraße (10 min) or change to "Stadtbus A" (direction Allerheiligenhöfe), stop Botanikerstraße
- By car: Motorway exit Innsbruck-West, follow the B174 until the junction at the shopping center West, turn right towards east until the first junction, turn left into Höttinger Auffahrt; follow this road, turn left into Oppolzerstraße/Botanikerstraße; turn left at the first junction into Sternwartestraße. There are only parking spaces available in the short-term parking zone.
