Her­ba­rium IB

The herbarium of the Institute of Botany of the University of Innsbruck (acronym IB) hosts about 150,000 specimens, mainly ferns and flowering plants (about 125,000) and a small proportion of mosses, liverworts, lichens and algae.

Algae Cul­ture Col­lec­tion ASIB 505

The Algae Culture Collection (acronym: ASIB 505) was established in the late 1950s and includes approximately 1000 culture strains mainly from the Alpine area of Central Europe with a focus on soil, aerial and lichen algae.
