Launch publishing workflow

What you need to know

Once you have Uploaded material(s) and completed the Metadata, you can launch the publishing workflow for the material. You can do this by launching the publishing workflow.

Please note: As long as your material has not yet been published, you can make changes to it without needing to launch the publishing workflow again.

Once your material has been published, you need to launch the publishing workflow again once changes have been made to the material so that the published copy of the material can be updated with the changes.

What you need to do

  1. Open one of your materials in the Search or in your Workspace by clicking onto it. You will now see all Infos of the material and can apply changes to it or launch the publishing workflow.
  2. Click onto three-dot menu in the upper right-hand corner and then in the menu (further down) onto Publish.
  3. Type into the field user/editorial group the following: oer-repo-curator. Select the status To check in the dropdown menu to the right of the status field.
  4. Type in a comment concerning the workflow.
In this field you can, among other things, put the following requests:
    • Add the material to a collection
    • A request for a DOI
    • Should you have no specific requests, simply type "please publish".
  5. Click onto Save.

A member of the curator group will check your material concerning its technical properties and the metadata:

Should you need to make changes to the material, you will receive an e-mail.

  • In this case, please add the relevant changes and launch the publishing workflow again by starting at point 2 of the upper list of steps to do.

Should the material be published, you will receive an e-mail, as well.
