The IMoF-Team welcomes all students, teachers, and colleagues!

The Innsbruck Model of Foreign Language Education (IMoF) is part of the Area of Language Education (DIS) at the Department of subject-specific Education located at the University of Innsbruck's Teacher Education Faculty. IMoF is an innovative educational model that has been created to train future foreign language teachers towards individual and social multilingualism. Regarding its concept, content and organisational structure, IMoF’s goals are oriented towards the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The teaching of foreign languages is based on various principles and theories in language teaching, language acquisition and evaluation, that IMoF has integrated into combined training modules (IMoF overview).
