Buch­tipp: Liebe in Zei­ten von Libe­ra­li­sie­rung und Digi­ta­li­sie­rung

Der Band „Liebe in Zeiten von Liberalisierung und Digitalisierung“, herausgegeben von Anne Siegetleitner und Cedric Isbrandt, beschäftigt sich mit der Frage, wie technologische Innovationen und gesellschaftlicher Wandel unser Verständnis von Liebe prägen – von neuen Beziehungsformen bis hin zu künstlichen Liebespartner:innen. 

Lev­er­ag­ing Ethics to Make Quan­tum Research Sus­tain­able

Innsbruck is a leading center in the development of new quantum technologies. In order to understand the processes of societal change triggered by these technologies and to be able to develop corresponding ethics frameworks, the University of Innsbruck is founding today the Innsbruck Quantum Ethics Lab (IQEL), in which experts from various disciplines will work together.

Archae­o­log­i­cal Stud­ies (Master)

Archaeology is the study of the physical evidence of humans and society over time. An objective reconstruction of past realities is based on the investigation and analysis of archaeological records in the form of soil records and artifacts.

In the Master’s degree programme the students may choose a focus in the individual archaeological disciplines.

Edu­ca­tional Sciences (Master)

The goal of the Master’s Degree Programme in Educational Sciences is to deepen the students’ knowledge in the field of education sciences. 

Each student may choose to focus theoretically, methodologically and practically on a specific topic within education sciences, for example general education science, gender studies, psychoanalysis, migration studies, etc.

Euro­pean Eth­nol­ogy (Master)

The students of this Master’s degree programme gain competencies in the cultural analysis of life styles, every day life practices and complex socio-cultural processes.

They also learn to understand the historical dimensions of contemporary phenomena and discourses, to deconstruct popular identity concepts and their instrumentalisation in media and politics and to present academic findings to the broader public.

Gen­der, Cul­ture and So­cial Change (Master)

The interfaculty Master's programme Gender, Culture and Social Change analyses gender as a hierarchising structural category in close connection with the categories of ethnicity and class in post-national and -colonial constellations. Students acquire interdisciplinary academic and career-oriented competences.

Ger­man Philol­ogy (Master)

The students of this Masters’s degree programme acquire in-depth theoretical and methodological knowledge in the field of German philology and may focus on specific areas in this field of study. They are able to develop and follow innovative theoretical concepts and research approaches by applying their comprehensive specialised knowledge.
