International Relations
About
The aim of the International Security Research Group is to analyse national and international security based on a multi-perspective approach. The members of our research group come from different research traditions and thus bring with them a wide variety of research interests. However, we share the conviction that the analysis of the core questions of international relations and international security policy can only be carried out on the basis of theoretical and methodological pluralism. Furthermore, we see one of our main tasks in bringing our university research closer to the general public.
In our research we cover a broad spectrum of topics and policy fields. These include energy security, human security, nuclear non-proliferation, diplomacy, terrorism and the use of force in international relations. Our theoretical approaches range from approaches from traditional and critical security studies to foreign policy analysis.
