Study

Manifold as our research is also the teaching at te Department of Philosophy. To take the unity between research and teaching into serious, we understand teaching as an intrinsic part of philosophical work. 

Who studies at our Department will interact with with engaged lecturers, willing to support with the challenges the study may bring.  

The Department for Philosophy offers study programs on all academic levels:

  2. MA Philosophy
  3. Doctoral Programme Philosophy

In addition, our Department organises and coordingates the Secondary School Teacher Training (General Education) Subject: Ethics as Bachelor's and Master's programme.

New Philosophy curricula from the winter semester 2026/27

New curricula for the Bachelor’s degree programme and the Master’s degree programme in Philosophy will come into effect from the winter semester 2026/27, and they will apply to all students.
