Academia and Society
We provide a variety of societal services beyond the boundaries of academia in the form of professional expertise and conceptual emphases.
This includes especially consulting services for institutions, businesses and NGOs.
Since 2011, ao.Univ.-Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Dietrich-Daum has been an expert in the following commissions:
„Kommission des Landes Tirol zur Klärung der Funde am Gräberfeld in Hall“,which was appointed by the Governor of Tyrol in 2011.
„Kommission Arbeit in Heimen“, which was appointed by the State of Tyrol in 2011 to oversee two research projects on the history of children and teenagers in asylums in Tyrol and Vorarlberg.
„Medizin-historische ExpertInnenkommission der Medizinischen Universität Innsbruck“ (2012-2013), which was appointed to clarify the accusation of against the Innsbruck Child Ward of Maria Nowak-Vogl (1954-1987).
Univ.-Prof. Dr. Patrick Kupper has been a member of the academic advisory council of the Special Exhibition "energie.wenden", which was on display at the Deutsches Museum in Munich in 2017-2018.
