Preis der Landeshauptstadt Innsbruck für wissenschaftliche Forschung an der Universität Innsbruck 2023
The City of Innsbruck announces the call for the "Preis der Landeshauptstadt Innsbruck für wissenschaftliche Forschung an der Universität Innsbruck 2023".
A total of 20,000 euros will be awarded. The prize will be awarded to one or more prize winners.
Eligible to apply:
Scientific employees with PhD from the Faculty of Architecture, the Faculty of Biology, the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, the Faculty of Geo- and Atmospheric Sciences, the Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics, the Faculty of Psychology and Sports Science and the Faculty of Engineering Sciences at the University of Innsbruck.
At the time of submission, the doctoral degree may not date back more than a maximum of 10 years. Child-rearing periods (two years for each child cared for), care periods (usually care leave) and longer serious illnesses that have led to a career interruption are taken into account. The respective submission date is used to determine the ten-year period.
The following can be submitted:
Monographs, (collective) dissertations, (collective) habilitations or two to three content-related, top-class papers/essays. The papers to be submitted must have been published or submitted in the last three years from 01.01.2020 onwards (until the submission deadline).
The works must have an affiliation to the University of Innsbruck.
In the case of collaborative work, only the main responsible author (first author or corresponding author) may submit in agreement with the co-authors.

It should be noted that scientific papers that have already been awarded by the University of Innsbruck will not be awarded a second prize.
The “Preis der Landeshauptstadt Innsbruck für wissenschaftliche Forschung” can only be awarded once to one and the same person.
The proposal for awarding the prize is prepared by the responsible member of the Rectorate on the basis of independent expert opinions.
The award of the “Preis der Landeshauptstadt Innsbruck für wissenschaftliche Forschung” is expected to take place within the framework of a ceremonial presentation in winter 2023/24.
The German version of the call prevails over the English in case deviations.
