Best Student Paper Award 2023 

In order to promote young scientists and to acknowledge their achievements, the University of Innsbruck is once again offering the "Best Student Paper Award 2023" this year. A total of 6,000 euros will be put out to tender. The prize is divided into three categories according to scientific subjects, namely:

 

  1. Faculty of Architecture, Faculty of Catholic Theology, Faculty of Language, Literature and Culture, Faculty of Philosophy and History
  2. Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy, Faculty of Geo- and Atmospheric Sciences, Faculty of Mathematics, Computer Science and Physics, Faculty of Engineering Sciences
  3. Faculty of Business and Management , Faculty of Educational Sciences, Faculty of Teacher Education, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Faculty of Psychology and Sports Science, Faculty of Economics and Statistics, Faculty of Law

 

The prize consists of a sum of money and a certificate, which will be presented on the occasion of the great day of honor of the University of Innsbruck. The decision will be made on the basis of the ranking of an expert jury by autumn 2023 at the latest.

 

Doctoral candidates from all faculties currently enrolled at the time of submission at the University of Innsbruck are eligible to apply. The prize is awarded for an outstanding scientific article already published or accepted for publication - with affiliation to the University of Innsbruck - in a recognized scientific journal.

The publication must not have been made more than one year ago at the time of submission.

 

In the case of collaborative work, only the main responsible author (first author or corresponding author) can submit in agreement with the co-authors.

 

Applications must be submitted with the following information/evidence:

Published scientific article (In the case of an article not yet published: essay and publication commitment of the publisher)

2)

Abstract (max.1 page in English or German)

3)

Short Abstract (max. 4 to 5 sentences) and CV (max. 3 to 4 sentences) in German (for the ceremony).

4)

Letter of motivation (why should your scientific work be awarded, app. 1 page)

5)

Curriculum vitae; list of publications  

6)

Declaration of consent of the co-authors; please see template in the application form

7)

"Studienblatt und Studienzeitbestätigung" which can be downloaded online

8)
