Module 5: More vegetable life-cycles and ‘The Carrot Top Mystery’

Vegetables present a rich and varied source of plants for the study of plant life cycles. Ideas are presented that encourage group work.
Children can build on their knowledge and understanding from module 4 and follow other vegetable lifecycles.
They collect first hand evidence (from the school or other gardens) or second hand evidence from seed packets, the internet and books to explain the sequence of events.
An Ideas and Evidence activity is included to assess children’s understanding of real world situation
