Mycological Collection

Mycological Collection

The mycological collection contains about 28,000 vouchers of fungi. Dr. Dr. h.c. Meinhard M. Moser (1924-2002) laid the basis for the collection in the 1950s. During his long mycological career, Meinhard Moser collected and documented more than 25.000 collections, which were originally kept in the Herbarium IB at the University of Innsbruck. In the year of 2016, the mycological part of the herbarium IB was incorporated into the Natural Science Collections of the Tiroler Landesmuseen (IBF)*.
