Besides our teaching offer, there are other programs and courses related to digitalization some of which take place in cooperation with the DiSC, while some are offered independently, for example:
Minors and Extension Programs
- The Minor Digital Cultural Data equips master's students with advanced knowledge in the digitization, archiving, dissemination and networking of cultural artefacts, texts and research data in the humanities and cultural studies (30 ECTS cedits).
- The Extension Program Computer Science provides a rigorous education in the fundamentals of computer science to non-majors (60 ECTS credits).
- Students of the Extension Program Scientific Computing gain method-based knowledge for efficiently answering questions from science, business and society in the area of modelling and computer simulation with a focus on responsible communication of the results (60 ECTS credits).
Programs of Study
- The Master’s Programme Business, Digitalisation and Sustainability Law enables students not only to specialize further in business law issues, but also to focus on the legal challenges of digitalization or sustainability (120 ECTS credits).
- The Master's Program in Biomedical Life Sciences provides students with an in-depth understanding of cellular and molecular processes in health and disease – from bioinformatics and stem cell biology to immunology – and introduces them to working with modern laboratory techniques and digital analysis tools (120 ECTS credits).
- The Master’s Programme Digital Society, Social Innovation and Global Citizenship, which is taught jointly by three universities from the AURORA University Alliance, conveys specialized knowledge in digital transformation, AI, data science, and social innovation to prepare graduates to address global challenges in an increasingly digital world (120 ECTS credits).
- The Continuing Education Master’s Programme Digital International Affairs (D.I.A) provides students with an understanding of the impact of digitalization on structures and processes of international relations (for example in the field of diplomacy or international security) (120 ECTS credits).
Doctoral Colleges
- The Doctoral College Computational Interdisciplinary Modelling (DK CIM) provides research-guided training in computational modeling utilizing high-performance computing.
- The Doctoral College #OrganizingtheDigital is a PhD training program that takes a multi-method and inter-disciplinary approach to studying digital relations, digital publics, and digital societies.
AURORA Courses
- Within the AURORA Network it is possible to take internal courses from our university and external courses from partner universities. Many courses are interdisciplinary and related to digitalization, selected DiSC courses are also offered within AURORA.
