Er ist ein international anerkannter Spitzenforscher in den Bereichen verteilte und parallele Systeme, angewandte künstliche Intelligenz sowie Big Data Processing und Analytics. Er leitet die neu gegründete Forschungsgruppe "AIM AT Stiftungsprofessur für Edge AI". Er hat zahlreiche nationale und internationale Projekte als Koordinator geleitet.
Radu Prodan war zuvor assoz.-Prof. am Institut für Informatik der Universität Innsbruck und danach Univ.-Prof. am Institut für Informationstechnologie der Universität Klagenfurt.

He is an internationally recognized top researcher in the fields of distributed and parallel systems, applied artificial intelligence, big data processing and analytics. He heads the newly founded research group “AIM AT endowed professorship for Edge AI”. He has led numerous national and international projects as coordinator.
Radu Prodan was previously Assoc. Prof. at the Institute of Computer Science at the University of Innsbruck and then Univ.-Prof. at the Institute of Information Technology at the University of Klagenfurt.
