Conference childcare at the University of Innsbruck
Conference childcare is provided by the Family Services team at the main conference venue. Please indicate on the registration form if you require childcare for the conference. We will then contact you personally to make further arrangements.
If the overall number of children is low, children can attend the regular university daycare facility (located on campus, a one minute walk from the conference venue).
If a larger number of children will be coming to CADS, the mobile KIDS-BOX can be made available for the duration of the conference. This makes it possible to provide care to children on site at the event location (in a room in close vicinity to the conference sessions). The Kids Box contains toys and craft materials, a fold-out baby bed, and a nappy-changing facility. In addition, staff will bring other age-appropriate toys, painting and craft materials and books.
Information for parents:
- Conference childcare is organised in cooperation with the Family Service unit of the Universität Innsbruck, and only suitable and experienced caregivers are employed.
- Care can be provided for children aged between six months and ten years.
- Personnel Key: One childcare provider for up to four children over the age of 18 months. For pedagogical reasons and to ensure quality of care, for care of more than two children under 18 months, staff numbers will be increased to two persons. Two childcare providers are required for five or more children (maximum group size 12).
- During childcare hours, the parent/guardian must be available by phone/message at all times!
- Children are covered by accident insurance during childcare.
- Please adhere to the childcare times agreed upon.
- Please allow for a handover and meeting time and arrive (especially on the first day of care) approx. 15 minutes before the start of care. Please remember that excessively lengthy childcare intervals in an unfamiliar environment can be stressful, especially for younger children.
- Please give your child a bag/backpack with a change of clothes, slippers, diapers, and a (healthy) snack or baby food (please label everything!).
