The University Library is participating in the international SCOAP3 project (Sponsoring Consortium for Open Access Publishing in Particle Physics) pursuing the complete conversion of established subscription-based journals in the field of high-energy physics to an open access model. University members with active employment contracts or students of the University of Innsbruck and the Medical University of Innsbruck can thus also publish open access free of charge in SCOAP3.
Since 2014, HEP content of the publishers Elsevier, Hindawi, Institute of Physics, Jagiellonian University, Oxford University Press and Springer is available worldwide through open access. Since January 2018, the HEP content of the journals Physical Review C, Physical Review D and Physical Review Letters of the American Physical Society is also part of SCOAP3 and thus converted to open access.
