OA publishing in journals of Sage Publications
Since January 2019, there is an improved service for university members with active employment contracts or students of the University of Innsbruck and the Medical University of Innsbruck to publish open access free of charge at SAGE. Members of both universities can publish in about 1,100 SAGE hybrid journals free of charge and have access to 1,100 scientific journals.

You can publish open access in 1,100 SAGE journals that offer the open choice option. You can find a list of open choice journals here.
Who can publish open access?
Eligible are authors, who
- are corresponding authors of the articles
- are university members with active employment contracts or students of the University of Innsbruck or the Medical University of Innsbruck
- whose articles were accepted by a journal that supports open choice
- are publishing an Original Paper, Review Paper, Brief Communication, Short Report or Case Report
ATTENTION: It is not permitted to retrospectively change the corresponding author after peer review.
Procedure/Verification Process:
Please indicate your affiliation with the University of Innsbruck or the Medical University of Innsbruck already when submitting your article. The verification of authors' affiliation with universities is done through the indication of the institution and the use of the institutional email domain.
The affiliation is verified by SAGE and the university/University Library.
The article is published under a Creative Commons licence.
